At 6:45 we got up and headed to the lounge for a light pre-breakfast. Our first dive site was Battle Bommie. There was quite a bit of current so they put a line out to the site. It came loose so we had to wait a bit for a second one to be set up. They used the dinghy to take us over to the site and we pulled ourselves down the line to the bommie. Due to the current we hung out behind the bommie.

The visibility was very good and we checked out all of the fish. Going back up the line was pretty comical, with 8 divers hanging on the line doing their safety stops. It ended up being quite a bit of work getting back to the boat. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. Between dives we checked Rick's camera, since it had fogged up inside, but couldn't find anything wrong. |

The boat moved to Flu Bommie for the second dive. Once again there was quite a bit of current, so we pulled our way down the line and swam around behind the bommie. There was a big school of barracuda hanging out just off the side of the bommie. Getting back to the boat was easy, we looped the line around part of our cameras and let it slide past as we sailed along in the current, kind of like a zip-line. |

Back on board we had lunch (soup and focaccia sandwiches). While we all rested the boat moved to No Name Bommie for our third dive. Once we went down we saw a small white tip reef shark and lots of small stuff, lots of variety. Everyone liked the site, but we had to move the boat since it wasn't possible to navigate away from the site after dusk. |

Our fourth dive was done at Acropolis. We saw a tiny starfish, a couple of lion fish, and ray in the coral, a tiny crab and a tiny nudibranch. Dinner was "Restaurant Night", chicken or lamb, which was very good. We chatted for a while at the table, then we were off to bed, where we watched the first half of Matrix Revolutions. During the night the boat motored for 5 hours out to Flinders Reef, which is out beyond the Great Barrier Reef. |
