We woke up around 7, had breakfast (tasty breakfast sandwiches) and then a dive briefing for Aimms Bommie. We were excited for the first dive and jumped in. We went down pretty deep, to about 90 feet, but Randy wasn't feeling quite right. He started to ascend and felt better at around 50 feet.

Unfortunately he had given Rick the hand signal for "out of air" instead of "not feeling well". This caused some stress and confusion, but we settled down and swam around for a while before heading back to the boat. On board we discussed the mixed up hand signal and decided that first dives should be simple and shallow: no cameras and less than 50 feet. Seems like a good way to re-acclimate on a week long trip. |

On the second dive we saw a reef shark, and then a clown fish (Nemo) with a tiny baby next to it in their anemone. Back on the boat we had lunch (sandwiches) and then the boat moved a small distance to Groper Gap. We swam over to the two bommies which made up the site. We found a a fun swim through near the end of the dive. We did another dive on the same site where we found another, longer, swim through. Rick found another clown fish as well. |

We did our night dive on the same site. Rick took our new high power light which did a great job of spotting things, he quickly found an octopus. We also saw a large crayfish and a type of worm. Back on the boat we had dinner (pasta, chocolate mousse) and then checked out pictures. We were both very happy with them. Rick's new external flash was getting some great color, and Randy's new camera setup was doing a great job. Afterwards we talked with the other divers for a while, then headed off to bed. |
