Monday - July 19, 2021Eric & Frank's, Portland
Did early workouts with Mickey, then packed up the RV. Headed out around 10. Drove back to Ballard to pick up the ebikes. Stopped in Portland for fuel, then headed to Newberg to our friends Eric & Frank's house. Parked the RV next door where there was room, then got a tour of the house and sat and chatted. Had a tasty dinner, then off to bed in their guest room (our first time in a "foreign" bed in a year and a half!).
Tuesday - July 20, 2021Eric & Frank's, Portland
After breakfast we drove into Newberg to pick up some prepared lunches. Did a quick wine tasting next door while they were being made. Drove up through beautiful countryside to the Anne Amie Winery where we tasted some wines and ate our lunches overlooking a colorful valley. Back at the house Eric & Frank showed us the property and then made a great dinner. Gave Eric a drone flying lesson, pretty sure he'll be getting one.
Wednesday - July 21, 2021Gold Hill, OR
Had breakfast with Eric & Frank, said goodbye, headed south. Had a 4hr drive to Valley of the Rogue State Park. Site was nestled in lots of tall redwoods. Rode the ebikes over to a lumberyard for some pics and drone flying, then down to the water to check it out. Spent the rest of the afternoon back in the RV.
Thursday - July 22, 2021Vacaville, CA
Long (5hr) uneventful drive down I-5, relaxed in the RV, dinner, then bed.
Friday - July 23, 2021
Up early, packed up the RV, had a short hour drive back to Oakley to drop the RV, home in SF by 10am.
