Idaho - Wyoming - Montana

Made a quick hardware store stop, then headed to a grocery store for supplies. Drove west about 2 hours to Trout Creek. We were early for check-in so we pulled into a small recreation area at a boat ramp and had lunch. At 2 we checked in to Trout Creek RV. Had a nice shady site between some very tall trees. Hung out in the RV and watched some Netflix.

Went for a walk to try to see one of the trains that we kept hearing, just missed one. Did some laundry in the RV, then decided to head west for some different scenery for the afternoon. Arrived at Riley Creek Campground in Laclede Idaho, right on the Pend Orielle River. Campsite was still occupied so we hung out by the boat ramp and had lunch. Once the site opened up we backed in and set up. Rode the bikes back up the road to take some photos and video of some train cars, then back to the RV.

Did 7am and 8am workouts with Mickey, then headed south to Coeur d'Alene. Stopped along the way for haircuts, then checked in to Blackwell Island RV which was right on the lake. It was quite hot so after a quick walk to the lake we decided to stay inside for the afternoon. A chance comment by a friend on Facebook who was near our next day's stop led us to switch to Leavenworth for the next day to see them.

Drove west through Spokane and into Leavenworth. Stopped at the grocery store, then checked in to the Leavenworth KOA. Got lucky and had a somewhat shady site; it was 95º out! Relaxed for the afternoon, then around 6pm our friend's Chris and Chad arrived. They had driven down from their cabin about 20 minutes away. Had a great time catching up with them (last saw them in Leavenworth last year!). Randy made stir fry for dinner. They stayed until just before 10. Really good seeing them again!
