Idaho - Wyoming - Montana

Went for a walk with Doug, then Randy made eggs for everyone. Packed up the RV, made our way back to the main road and then South. Headed back through Arco, then on to Idaho Falls. Stopped at a Big 5 to look for shorts, remembered why we never shop at Big 5. Grabbed some coffee, then continued to Swan Valley where we checked in to Sleepy Bear RV, small camp site off the road. Pulled out the bikes and ride a few miles to Far Creek Falls. Stopped at a store on the way back to the RV, settled in for the night.

Woke up early, headed out at 6am. Drove south a bit, then north into Jackson Hole. Arrived at Whole Foods right as they opened at 7am, no trouble parking the RV. Several miles north we turned into Grand Teton National Park. Found a spot to park, then hiked a mile and a half to Taggart Lake. Continued through the park, made a couple of stops. Drove into Coulter Bay, checked on boats but none were available. Had lunch at a restaurant, then drove east towards Moran. Check-in at Fireside RV wasn't until 2 so we drove up to the top of the nearby mountain to check out the view. Drove back to the campground and parked in our site. Watched some weather in the distance, did some planning for the following day.

Up at sunrise, headed out at 6am. Stopped at Jackson Lake Overlook, then continued into Yellowstone. Brief stop at Lewis Falls. Stopped at the Grand Prismatic Pool, walked in and around the boardwalk. Moved the RV to the Artemisia Trailhead parking lot. Walked around the Black Opal Pool, then hiked towards Old Faithful through the woods. Saw several very nice peaceful mineral pools. Walked all the way through the main boardwalk to Old Faithful, avoided the super-spreader event that was clearly happening (not a mask in sight, even when there were at least 50% not vaccinated in the crowd!). Returned back to the RV and drove to the north to Mammoth Hot Springs at the north entrance to the park. Rick walked around the Minerva Terrace getting some good photos. Drove south and towards West Yellowstone, ran Into quite a bit of traffic. Arrived at Yellowstone Grizzly about 6pm. Big nicely laid out park, we had a back-in site at the edge of the forest.
