Thursday - January 9, 2025
Packed up the RV just after sunrise (7:40am), then headed north. Drove into Ferndale where we had coffee and walked around the cute downtown for a bit. Continued north past Trinidad to Big Lagoon County Park where we had lunch looking out at the water under a sunny sky. Drove north to the Trillium Falls trailhead. Parked the RV, then drove over the hill in the Evoque. Fern Valley was closed, but we saw a herd of elk in the trees. Drove north to Klamath where we checked in to Golden Bear RV. Had a great river view site with hardly any other RVs around. Randy made chicken adobo for dinner.
Friday - January 10, 2025
Had an early breakfast, then Jim went for a drive to Redwood State Park while Rick and Randy did zoom workouts with Mickey. It started to rain lightly as we drove up to Crescent City for lunch. Oceanfront Lodge was closed, but we found Seaquake Brewing right down the street where we had a nice lunch. Checked out the marina on the way back to the RV. Relaxed in the RV for the rest of the afternoon.
