Pinnacles and RV Tag-along

Packed up the car, headed to Oakley, light traffic. Took I-5 south, got the RV washed near an Amazon fulfillment center. Took the Pacheco Pass over to Hollister, then headed south to Pinnacles National Park. Filled up our water tank, then got set up in our site. Pulled out all the toys: bikes, chairs, tables, fire ring. Around 8pm our friends Matt & George arrived with their camper and pulled in to the spot next to us. We fired up the fire ring and all hung out and caught up for a while, so good to see them!

After breakfast we all hopped on the ebikes and headed to the Rim Trail trailhead. Hiked up and around the entire trail, dropped down to the reservoir at the end. Took the "caves" trail back down to the parking lot, rode the ebikes back to the campground (the bikes cut 6 miles of flat walking!). We all made dinner, then hung around the fire ring for a while before bed.

It was a bit colder this morning. Matt and Rick took bikes to the Balconies trail. Randy and George relaxed in the RVs, Randy installed some new lighting below the RV. For lunch we had nachos by the fire then everyone made dinner. Matt & George joined us in our RV where we had a nice time eating together (they had both been vaccinated and we'd been isolated). Chit chatted for a while, then bed.
