Had breakfast in the hotel, then packed up the car and headed towards Zurich. Took a little over 3 hours to arrive at the AMERON Zürich Bellerive au Lac, a really nice hotel right on the lake.
Did a quick check-in, then took the car over to the train station to return it. Hopped on some scooters and e-bikes and rode them back to the hotel. Around 6:30 we walked over to Raclette Stube where Rick had made us a reservation. Had a great meal of raclette and fondue, yum!
Walked back towards the hotel looking at the different cafes. Rick pointed us at one and suggested we have a glass of wine; turned out to be IGNIV, a 2-star Michelin restaurant. Had a cute waiter who took great care of us. Walked back to the hotel before heading up to bed.

Breakfast at the hotel. Discovered that tickets to the chocolate factory were not available online until the following week. The front desk at the hotel suggested that we might be able to do a walk-in, so we hopped in an Uber and gave it a shot. Got chocolate tour tickets for 20 minutes later!
Walked through the Lindt Chocolate factory, with some fun samples along the way. Took an Uber (with a super grumpy driver, Randy was scolded for trying to adjust the temperature which was around 90°F, yikes!) back to the center where we went to the Kunsthaus Zürich museum.
Saw lots of art across a wide range of eras. Walked back towards the center as it started to rain. Stopped in at a café by the main train station for a quick bite to eat. Randy went for a haircut while Lexi and Rick walked around a bit for more pictures.
Relaxed in the hotel until around six, then had a glass of wine in the bar before taking an Uber to La Rotisserie, a 1-star Michelin restaurant right on the river. Did a seven-course tasting menu with a wine pairing (Lexi's first for both). Our waiter Dominik was great and the dishes were very tasty.
Dinner ended up being almost 4 hours long, the time flew by! Walked back to the hotel along the water, then had a nightcap in the lobby bar before bed.

Breakfast at 9 in the hotel, then grabbed some scooters for a quick ride to Rechtswissenschaftliche Bibliothek, the University of Zurich library, for pictures. Walked up the hill to a couple of other buildings, then grabbed three scooters and rode to Museum Haus Konstruktiv, an old power plant turned into a modern art museum.
Walked along the river back to the lake, then did a 1-hour "mini" boat ride to see some of the area from the water. Back at the dock, we took three more scooters and rode to a couple of buildings Rick had seen.
Then it was back to the hotel (with a couple of blocks of scooter pushing through some "no-go" areas). Set up camp in the lobby to review pics and this journal. Chatted with our waiter, Christian, for a while (he was born in Romania but grew up in Spain), very fun.
After a bit of downtime in the room, we walked along the river to QQSushi where we had a nice dinner. Walked back to the hotel (with a stop to pick up some macarons). Set up camp in our room to watch an episode of TV trash (90 Day - TOW). Then it was time for bed.

Breakfast at 7:30, then started to pack up. Lexi's called an Uber for the airport, said our goodbyes. We had so much fun with her!
