Had breakfast at the hotel, then packed up and took a cab over to the Sixt office to pick up a BMW M3 wagon. Drove about 5 hours to Innsbruck (with a rest stop along the way that had some interesting accessories for sale in the bathrooms) where we checked into The Penz Hotel.
Walked over to the Nordkettenbahn, which is a tram and gondola up to the top of the mountain. Had a great view back over the valley. Very cold, headed back into town. Wandered through the shops, picked up some roasted nuts, then sat and watched the crowd wander by for a bit. Tried to get some fondue at Ottoburg (as recommended by our hotel), but they don't serve that.
Back at the hotel, we searched a bit and made a reservation at Sitzwohl. Turned out to be a great restaurant! Had a fun waiter (Russ) that took great care of us. Afterwards, we went back to our hotel and up to the 5th floor, where Greg, one of Russ's friends, took great care of us.
Ended up being after 11 when we headed to our rooms for bed.
