Did early Zoom workouts in the RV, then packed up, went to the grocery store, then headed south. Drove down to Portland and checked in to the Columbia River RV Park. Huge park with big sites. Our friend Eric, who lives nearby, stopped by for a glass of wine and socially distanced dinner outside the RV. Great to see him!

After a quick stop to check on a tire (turned out not to be a problem fortunately), we headed east along the Columbia River to Bridal Veils Falls State Park. Traversed a narrow road to the parking lot, walked down to the falls, very nice. Drove back along the narrow road, then along an even narrower one, would have been a problem if a truck had come the other way! Made our way to Multnoma Falls, double waterfall with a delicate bridge in the middle.

GPS took us across The Bridge of the Gods, through narrow tunnels on the north side of the Columbia, then across a bridge with only two 9' lanes for our 8.5' RV! Not cool! Made it to White River Falls State Park, looked at the falls, had lunch. Continued to Cove Palisades State Park, beautiful campground set in a rock canyon. Before sunset went out on the bikes for a bit. Back in the RV we watched trash TV and listened to pay-trance. Fun!

After breakfast we rode to the two bridges at either side of the campground, fantastic scenery. Rick got some great pictures of the bridges and reflections. Took advantage of the camp's 1pm checkout time, then drove south towards the Painted Hills.
