Drove east into Idaho, then south along the Snake River. Couple of stops before arriving at the Y Knot Winery and RV park. Checked in and bought a couple of bottles of wine. Rick did a mini bike ride, then we both rode down to a bridge right before sunset.  And Rick finally lost his lens cap.

Short drive to the Malad Gorge, runs right under the freeway. Rode the bikes, really amazing geology. Drove to Ritter Island State Park, down a narrow winding road, grabbed one of the few RV spots. Walked to a waterfall coming out of the side of a mountain. Headed to Box Canyon State Park that Rick had found. A natural spring coming out of the ground created a canyon with greenery below! Continued east (on the 80mph highway!) then south across the Perrine Memorial Bridge (base jumpers use it!) to the Idaho Tourism Center. Picked up some Sodastream canisters. Did the world's hottest e-bike ride along the rim of the canyon. Randy bailed right after seeing Shoshone Falls, Rick continued for a bit. Sat for an hour to get the RV washed, totally worth it, was covered with grime and bugs! Headed north to Picabo Angler RV, small park in the town of Picabo. Did a great e-bike ride into the hills and through some fields.

                                                                  Tuesday - August 18, 2020

Got an early start, headed to Craters of the Moon National Monument. Crazy lava fields. Did the park loop, stopping at 5 areas. Only 8 other people in the whole park. Saw awesome lava formations, a giant cinder cone, snow inside a small cinder cone. Drove north, stopped for groceries in Mackey, tiny little town. Passed through the Great View Canyon. Got gas then headed up the road to our friends Craig & Doug's ranch.
