We woke up saying "Happy Anniversary" to each other. What a wonderful three years since we got married! This trip has been a great anniversary gift to each other.

After breakfast we moored at Turtle Bay Wall, off the coast of Utila, another of the Bay Islands. This site was really cool, a sheer wall with the top at 50 feet that dropped off to a few hundred feet. It was really amazing floating next to the wall and looking down into the deep blue. It really felt like you were flying. We swam along the wall and looked in all the nooks and crannies, snapping away with the cameras. We found a valley in the wall and followed it up to the top, where Rick saw another moray eel swimming along. This one was a bit smaller, maybe four feet, but still very menacing when they look right at you! Randy had gotten the strobe on his camera sorted out, and was once again able to control the flash output. This made getting the color in the deeper pictures much easier. We got some good macro photos on this dive. Then it was back on board for an hour, and then back down to the wall.

This time we stayed deep (75 feet or so) for a bit longer, following the wall to the north. Then we swam up to the top and back across the reef towards the boat. Along the way we saw a flounder doing a good job of looking like the top of a rock. We only saw him because he moved!

After lunch the current was picking up, so the boat was moved back to Roatan, to a new site called Bear's Den. Lots more fish, and even a big grouper on this site. We skipped the fourth dive since it was a bit late in the afternoon, we wanted to save our energy for the night dive. After dinner we got the camera ready and went back in the water. We saw a couple of big crabs (one of them was inside a barrel sponge!), a brittle star, and another octopus. Rick was very happy as this one slithered around for a bit for us as we snapped pictures of him. Definitely a great end to the day.
