Under the Sea - Diving Turks & Caicos

Late Friday night we boarded a Delta flight to Atlanta where we met Rick's Dad, Fred. The three of us boarded another flight to Providenciales on Turks & Caicos, arriving at 1:30pm. After passing through customs and collecting our bags, we were picked up and transported to the dock where the Turks & Caicos Aggressor II was tied up. We met Christopher, the second captain and dropped off our bags. Then we walked along the water to a restaurant where we met all of the other divers and Mike and Mike, who were teaching the photo course for the week.

We had a snack and a margarita with everyone, then headed back to the boat and set up our gear on the dive deck. We checked out our room which was at the front of the boat. It was very nice, with a queen sized bed and granite shower/toilet. Randy set up the dive gear and Rick unpacked, then we headed to the salon to relax. Christopher gave us a safety briefing and then Mike and Mike described the photo class for the week.

Dinner was chicken and rice, with fried bananas for dessert. Afterwards several of us went up on the top deck, listened to the "wonderful" disco being played at the restaurant dockside (it was fun guessing the next song, would it be Donna Summer, or Abba? They played both!) Then it was off to bed, tomorrow we dive!
