Getting ready for my swim across the Golden Gate tomorrow morning. This will be my 5th time doing this swim and my 17th San Francisco Bay swim! I’m hoping for good conditions in the morning !

Just in case this is not painfully obvious to anyone paying attention, Project 2025 IS the Republican ticket. This is exactly what you are voting for and what would be implemented starting day one. You can not divorce yourself from Project 2025 and vote Republican, as they are one in the same. This is a total assault on Democracy and shows just how much the Republican Party has devolved. This is about as un-American as it can get.

Here are some of my Vancouver shots. More to come but probably on Instagram. I was so impressed with Vancouver. It has been about 10 years since I have visited, and the city has grown by leaps and bounds, and in such smart ways. They now have quite a few new areas with tons of new skyscrapers for housing. I could not believe the number of cranes everywhere. Downtown Vancouver no longer has the tallest buildings, but a few of the surrounding areas do. Also, get this, they are building all of this on their Sky Train stations stops. Smart planning, housing, car free areas. I wish we could plan for the future like this. Driving through Seattle, we saw parking garages on the future transportation stops, or 6 story buildings at the highest. So sad, we will never build our way out of our housing crises if this is the best we can do. I hope the US looks North, or to many other cities and countries to see how our urban environment can be built in such a smarter, efficient and better way. Now I step off of my soap box and stop dreaming.....

We are loving Tofino! We have had amazing weather to enjoy the area. These are from the drive here, a fun dinner at Roar at Hotel Zed, a rainforest hike, a boat tour, and The Ucluelet Lighthouse Loop Trail.
